Phillip Cook has joined A.T. LOCKE, a business providing accounting services, business analysis, and financial and strategic guidance to emerging and midsized organizations, as a client services coordinator on the firm’s rapidly growing team. Cook will work with A.T. LOCKE’s leadership to support all of the firm’s clients across the Upstate and Midlands from the firm’s Greenville headquarters. Prior to joining A.T. LOCKE, he served for two decades with Liberty Life Insurance and its successor companies in project management and operational management capacities. While at Liberty, his responsibilities included call center management, agency administration, training, information technology initiatives, new product development/implementation, and regulatory compliance assignments. A native and current resident of Clinton, South Carolina, Cook holds a BS in business administration from Erskine College. The CPA Practice Advisor selected three CCH leaders for its annual “40 under 40” list. Jacobs brings more than twenty years of experience in professional services and will lead the marketing and practice growth initiatives for the firm’s five offices. Prior to joining Citrin Cooperman, Jacobs was the marketing director at Berdon LLP, an accounting firm in New York, where she developed strategic marketing plans for a variety of niche specialties, oversaw communications, and managed the business development area. Previously, she was an international marketing consultant, guiding clients in expanding their business globally. Jacobs sits on the advisory board of the Association for Accounting Marketing Metro NY Chapter and is active in several community organizations, including Step Up Women’s Network. She holds an MBA in international management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA in political science and Spanish from Binghamton University.

Foundation Financial Group (FFG) announced the promotion of Ronald Hurt to division general manager. In his new role, Hurt will oversee several sales units at FFG’s Raleigh Regional Sales Center. Since he started at FFG, Hurt has been promoted four times in four years. He started in an entry-level marketing position and began taking advantage of FFG’s interactive training programs to advance his career. Within six months, Hurt received his first promotion and became a member of FFG’s management team. FFG employees are recognized for outstanding work, and top performers at each position are given corporate awards. Excellence in sales leadership and management is rewarded with the company’s prestigious Cornerstone Award, and Hurt has received seven awards during his FFG career. When Hurt is not at work, he active in his community, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and the North Carolina Food Bank. Hurt participated in Raleigh’s 2013 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure alongside his FFG coworkers.
